Ed Boon's presonal website down.

Is this another prank by Ed Boon (remember "Zebron and "Mortal Kombat Nitro"), or did he just "forget" to pay his bill?
It's most likely to be the latter.
The title of the site now says: "Your account has been suspended :)", and all it's content seems to be gone.
As of now, we have no idea if Ed Boon's planning on putting the site back up or not. More on this when we find out.

Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance preview on GameSpy (uncluding screenshots).
Date/ Time: August 9th 2002, 05:56 PM (GMT+1:00)

Here are some quotes from the article:

Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance is a full 3D fighter, but it retains some of the feel of the classic games. The best examples of this are the jumping attacks. Rather than the "floaty" jumps of most 3D fighters, Deadly Alliance's jumps feel very similar to those in the earlier Mortal Kombat games and the Street Fighter EX series. On the other hand, the attack system is completely retooled. Past Mortal Kombat games featured low and high kicks and punches, a block button, and sometimes a run button. That's all gone... well, except for the block button. Deadly Alliance's fighting is controlled via five generic attack buttons, numbered one through five. Since each button is not tied to a specific class of attack like "low kick" or "high punch", the various buttons can result in radically different attacks from each character.

...

Fatalities, a series staple, were not yet in the Gamers' Day build. Thankfully, the developers still showed early footage of two in-progress fatalities. The more interesting of the two had Sub-Zero thrusting his hand into his opponent's back and attempting to pull something out. After the third powerful tug, the poor sap's entire skeleton popped out, still nicely assembled! Not bad.

IGN has released another trailer of MK:DA!
Date/ Time: August 8th 2002, 06:07 AM (GMT+1:00)
Author: AcjBizar
Source: IGN, ]{0MBAT

This trailer begins and ends the same as the very first MK:DA trailer (featuring Scorpion), it's located in the same stage (Acid Bath) and it has the same feel to it.
In this trailer however, Scorpion in not alone, but is in battle with Quan Chi. Quan Chi has red, glowing eyes and shows off his signature move from MK4 (green skull) in a very bloody way.
The blood and dust effects appear to be better than in the other movies, but this is probably only a teaser and not actual in-game material.

To see this particular trailer you have got to be a member of IGN Insider, so we can not provide you with a direct link.

Thanks to ]{0MBAT from MK5.ORG for the heads up.

Enjoy!

Right now, very little is known about this character Khan, there are rumors of this character being the winner of a contest that would let fans come up with their own characters.
