| Gamecube Corner (GCC) officially open! |
Date/ Time: April 29th 2002, 4:20 AM (GMT+1:00) |
Author: AcjBizar |
Source: Gamecube Corner |
Our friends at the Gamecube Corner have officially opent their website to bring you full coverage of the GameCube Nintendo and all it's games.
The URL is http://www.fragile-minds.com/gcc/ (bookmark it!).
The Gamecube Corner is as affiliated with this site as can be, alot of people that are featured on MKK are staffmembers of GCC (including yours truly!).
Here comes the official pressrelease, written by our great friend Jonathan Holtslander, a.k.a. Baraka_MK:
[ Welcome to the GAMECUBE CORNER! ]
"What if everything you see is more than what you see - the person next to you is a warrior and the space and appears empty is a secret door another world?" Shigeru Miyamoto, the genius behind some of Nintendo’s biggest franchises and characters, stated this with the release of the Nintendo Gamecube.
The Gamecube Corner is that secret door. It began as a circulative thought trapped within your own mind, enclosed by your own imagination. Now, that vision has embarked from your own dreams to the illustrious dimension of reality. With this new world, your dreams are achievable. Your deepest, most artistic desires can be achieved through this door, where you will discover yourself provoking the contrast of fiction from existence.
The Gamecube Corner is the entrance to the world of Nintendo. As you enter this world , you will find yourself ready to launch into it’s endless galaxy with the Star Fox team, riding horseback alongside Link through vast fields of green, surviving the hover car onslaught against Captain Falcon in the race for the checkered flag, swinging through the trees beside Donkey Kong as he collects bananas, decimating an entire alien fleet with Samus in the quest for Metroid, and assisting Mario as he saves this world from it’s numerous atrocious villains.
Our site aims to open your mind to the majestic world of Nintendo. The Gamecube Corner promises to keep you updated with the latest news on the system, to notify you of any rumors, to interest you with video game previews, to show you other’s opinions of Gamecube’s best games in the reviews section, and to keep you connected to the rest of the community in our forum. The Gamecube Corner will extend the depths of your imagination into a world where anything is possible. Welcome to the entrance of a new realm, the Gamecube Corner, and take your shoes off by the door.
Jonathan Holtslander and staff
GAMECUBE CORNER
4/28/02
Thus Jonathan Holtslander, the founder of the Gamecube corner.
Keep an eye on these guys and their (our) site, because they are going to be big!
Greetings,

| Three new imgaes on official MK:DA site! |
Date/ Time: April 27th 2002, 5:50 AM (GMT+1:00) |
Author: AcjBizar |
Three new pictures are released on the official MK:DA site.
The first picture is a black and white sketch of Blind Kenshi, that tells us something about his history.
The second picture shows us an ingame shot of Shang Tsung giving Scorpion an uppercut, this picture was shown earlier in GameInformer Magazine.
Last but not least, there's an ingame close-up of Subzero (who has clearly aged alot since his last appearence), this picture was shown before in GameInformer Magazine too, but this one is of better quality.
You can see the full versions of the pictures by visiting the official MK:DA site, or by simply clicking the thumbnails below.
More MK:DA pictures (and other goodies) can be found in the MK:DA section of this site.
Greetings,

| Reptile drawing by me. |
Date/ Time: April 26th 2002, 9:11 PM (GMT+1:00) |
Author: AcjBizar |
This is just an idea I had of what Reptile could look like in MK:DA.
He has aged alot since the last tournament and that shows.
I know he looks rather sad, but then again, how would you feel if you were the last one left of your race and you were about to do battle to death?
Click on the thumbnail for a larger view.

| New site feature: Pop-up menus! |
Date/ Time: April 14th 2002, 10:00 PM (GMT+1:00) |
Author: AcjBizar |
In an attempt to make site easier and more fun to navigate, I implemented pop-up menus for the archived news and the fan art pages.
This way the menu on the left is less long and hopefully easier to use.
If you encounter any problems (bugs) with this new feature, you can contact me via the contact page.

| Our "baby" finally has a name of it's own: Mortal Kombat Kourier! |
Date/ Time: April 10th 2002, 9:00 PM (GMT+1:00) |
Author: AcjBizar |
The title of this website has been Mortal Kombat since the official opening on januari 1st, this year.
I noticed that this site got various nicknames from visitors since then, probably because having the same name as the actual game for the site can get confusing at times.
I've seen names like Acj's Mortal Kombat Pages, Mortal Kombat Home and AcjBizar's MK Site.
From this day forward, this site will not longer be known as Mortal Kombat, but as Mortal Kombat Kourier (MKK in short).
I came up with this name a couple of months ago, but I wanted to a do little research before implementing the actual change first.
Today is the day. The site will be known as Mortal Kombat Kourier from now on.
This change will come with various other "adjustments" like a new intro page (already implemented), a new banner, etc.
Expect more updates later this week!
Greetings,

| Mention of MK:DA in the May 2002 issue of PSM. |
Date/ Time: April 9th 2002, 8:29 PM (GMT+1:00) |
Author: AcjBizar |
Sources: PSM, noob.com |
A digitized version of the article from the magazine can be viewed on Ed Boon's site, noob.com.
The article doesn't reveal any real news, but it shows more of the Blind Kenshie concept art that was shown before by GameInformer.
Go here: http://www.noob.com/PSM2.jpg to see the article.
Enjoy!

| Little update on Gamehacks page. |
Date/ Time: April 9th 2002, 6:55 PM (GMT+1:00) |
Author: AcjBizar |
You can now see the mugshots of some of the characters that are likely to appear in one of the MK4 mods I'm working on (MK4ME).
Featured characters are Rain, Spawn, Fulgore, Ermac, Kano, Madhvi and HacSec.
Some of the characters have appeared in actual games (like Kano in MK and Fulgore in KI), others are brand new.
These mugshots and others will be linking to files you can download and use later on.
Enjoy!
